We can blame the board for a lot, but not for a bunch of muppets surrounding cars
No, Definitely not. if this was just a random occasion. But this wasn't just a random occasion,
It was a planned protest. And if the board had showed up Saturday and faced the fans frustration than would the players have been used as scapegoats to air there frustration.

The board threw them under the bus...

The board were cowards, and seemingly liars attempting to change the narrative, but most protesters didn't chase/surround cars.
The board can't be seen as the 'sole' reason for it happening and accusing them of being at fault for something they clearly weren't, only deflects from the argument about those things for which they are actually at fault. They could point at that and say 'look, these people blame us for everything, even things we have no control over'

No they didn't, and 99% of fans would never even contemplate it. It makes you sick just seeing that its happened cos it just shows how badly our club is crumbling in front of us. There is always certain individuals that take things way to far, and they possibly would of anyway.

But the Board did have control over one thing that day and that was being there...

I live in Glasgow ATM, in the office today talking to a mate who's a big Celtic fan. Said he watched MOTD and saw a few things about the alleged offences and said he immediately knew it was a pack of lies. Good to know other footy fans can at least see what's going on.
