Rangers aren’t our local rivals and are not relevant to us in the slightest though so the point you’re making in relation to Liverpool doesn’t apply to them.

Not wishing to answer on @davek behalf, but its clear that he views Rangers in the same way we all view the RS. The rival club. The reasons are personal to him. He will watch Rangers, and hates them, many, including me, would watch the RS, even though we hate them.

Its a cogent position imo.

If they are on TV in the Premier League I'll watch. It's therapeutic. Angry shouting at the Ref/pundits/commentators/VAR because of all the dodgy decisions that always go their way and trying to work out how far their collective heads are up the rs arse. Also loathing of their team and manager and shouting how they just play hoofball and TTA really is crap. It's like a 90 minute version of the two minute hate in George Orwell's 1984. I feel so much better afterwards.

Not at all, if that shower were playing in either my front or back garden i'd draw the curtains! There's lot's of teams i consider rivals, Kerry gaelic footballers, Kilkenny and Tipperary hurlers, Essendon and Collingwood in the aussie rules, and the Boston Bruins in the ice hockey.

I dislike those teams i listed above intensely, but i still have a respect for them. That's not the case with the rs though. Not all rs fans that are bad, but unfortunately more than enough of them are the nastiest, classless, most ungracious and unsporting set of fans of any team in any sport from my experience.

A lot of that stems from Emlyn Hughes and his antics at the rs homecoming in 1977. He really was one nasty horrible man. Before we had Benitez and his small club jibes, we had Emlyn Hughes and his antics at St Georges Hall.

No!! Absolutely not, I find it hard to watch any outside of Everton these days, probably an age thing but I wouldn't watch Liverpool even if I did still watch more. Can't be doing with them, the media bias they get and their nob head fans oh and that stupid frigging song.

NO!
There was this fella on the bus this morning, with his rs jacket, rs baseball hat, and an rs backpack. I was feeling a bit down in myself as well but when i saw him, i just said to myself at least i ain't the fella sitting up there.lol

Good conversation starter.

Now do a poll on whether Klopp kicks his dog after losing.

For my part would echo what many here say in that I turn it on if I see they are losing and turn it off if they go level.

I am nearing that point in my life though where I can see the cba perspective...you reach an age where you can't be bothered anymore...but I won't believe that of anyone thats a Blue and under 35 or so.

I'm 30 and a blue and the only time I see them is against us. Didn't even watch the CL final.

Should be a poll on whether you’re completely unarsed about Liverpool but yet spend every match day on the Liverpool thread calling out people interested in seeing them lose and telling everyone how unbothered you are. There’d be a few voting for that.

Rivalry isn’t a hard concept, you support your team and simultaneously want your rivals to lose. That’s why it’s more exciting than the relationship with any other random team. They’re not mutually exclusive.
