I`ll pretty much watch any game if i`ve got a dog in the fight, I watched the live game when they drew 3-3 with Crystal Palace.

Yes, I watch them. I love it. I mean, they are great! Always have been, always will be. The two outside are brilliant and so creative, but the two up front, WOW! and I mean WOW! They cheer everyone up, they enhance every party, they make people smile. They are legends, what is not to like. I will even say that I love them.

FFS! I thought I was posting in the ABBA thread

Is putting concentrated effort into not watching them a bit obsessive in itself, what do people do check their fixtures and times.

I don’t let them bother me much one way or the other for this to matter to me.

Our streaming service provides all matches, so if Everton aren't playing, I will watch goal rush to stay in touch with all same time fixtures, if they are the feature match - so be it.

What now? I put absolutely zero effort into not watching them. Surely you'd only check their fixtures and times if you actually wanted to watch them? You know, I don't have to check what time Eastenders is on so I don't have to watch it. Your comment makes no sense at all,

Also, @davek Why do you find it so hard to believe that a lot of us don't watch? It's not like I've personally claimed I've never actually watched them kick a ball. I catch highlights and stuff, just don't watch them live.

I already follow two football teams; Everton>>>Marine. I've got a wife and child, a job, a house, a couple of hobbies and a dog to walk to daily. Forgive me for not having 2-4 hours most weeks to watch a team I don't support.

It's not like anybody is even slagging anybody off for watching them. Very strange that some people think it's strange -or even an outright lie - that people on here claim to not watch them.

I don't need to. I get regular updates of their latest news when I watch Everton games. It's my hobby to try and guess how long into an Everton game commentary they can last before mentioning Liverpool FC. Very rarely do we get to 15 mins ...

No I think what neiler is saying makes sense. Obviously in your case you’re effectively just saying you don’t really watch football on tv, so you don’t ‘not watch’ Liverpool as such, that’s a coincidental outcome rather than a deliberate action. I think he’s referring to people who do otherwise watch football on tv but make a conscious decision never to watch when it’s Liverpool. I’d be inclined to agree that that comes across as slightly obsessive.

When did I say I don't watch football on tv?

I quite often will watch a match that doesn't involve Everton. I wasn't literally stating I couldn't possibly find the time to watch the rs. I just have better things to do with my time than watch that lot.

What am I meant to do? Cheer the other team on? And that makes ME slightly obsessed because I wouldn't or can't be arsed with that? Okay mate.

Anyway, won't be on for a while now. I need to go and check what time all the stuff I don't want to watch is on.

I disagree. i watch a fair bit of football, but not every game, so Liverpool will be one of the teams i'll choose not to watch if they're on live- as I don't really enjoy it, so why put myself through it? I tend to avoid watching Mrs Browns Boys too- not out of obsession, just out of the fact that i could be doing something much much better.

I watch at least 10 games per week, across many leagues, never watch them. I don’t try hard to not watch them I just don’t click on that channel or (hopefully no one here does this) find their stream. When they’re on there’s usually a gamut of other games I can watch. Would rather stick a Qarabag game on.

First European footy match I ever watched in its entirety was them bottling the 2007 CL final to Milan. There was a free watch party on a giant screen in Dallas and I was on "funemployment" at the time (this is when they still held the final on a Wednesday) so I went and watched. I was heavily put off by Milan's diving and time wasting and general Italian-ness... but knowing what I know now, I still should have been a lot happier at the final whistle.

For reasons completely alien to me this seems to be quite an emotive subject so I’m happy to leave it there. I have absolutely no interest either way in whether individuals watch Liverpool, I was just saying I can understand neilers point that completely avoiding their games for years may seem a little over the top in some cases. That doesn’t mean everyone who doesn’t watch them is obsessive - as I already said - but I can see the logic behind what he’s saying.
