One day in September (1999)

A cracking documentary detailing the 1972 Munich Olympics and the siege and subsequent slaying of Israeli athletes by Palestinian group "Black September" that captivated the world. I'm too young to remember the actual incident, but I read books about it as a kid and realised how momentous an event in world history it must have been.

Narrated by Michael Douglas and brilliantly edited, it presents a chronological race against time format with grainy 70s footage mixed with contemporary interviews...including the (sole) surviving Palestinian who was involved. It is obviously geared towards the victims of the ensuing massacre, but is also highlights the ineptitude of the West German authorities and the media confusion of the time.

It's constructed in a suspenseful way and features some truly disturbing images of the aftermath of the botched rescue attempt of the hostages on a dimly-lit airstrip.

Great soundtrack of early 70's prog-rock as well.

This sounds fantastic.

Will watch tonight.

The return, life after ISIS

Only watched about 20 minutes then turned it off, didn't like the way sky was making out they were victims

Basically young girls volunteer themselves to ISIS, then come back.

Sky makes a documentary.

They should be either in jail or stripped of citizenship

In the Untold series on Netflix, check out Crimes and Penalties.
It's the story of the Danbury Trashers, a minor league ice hockey club in the States, and their shall we say rather dodgy owners.
100% true and a really good watch, especially if you've any interest in ice hockey.

Turning Point : 9/11 and the War on Terror.

New five part doc on Netflix.

Starts off with the attacks on the Twin Towers, how Bush used it as an excuse to invade Iraq and subsequently got bogged down in a war without a real cause or exit strategy in Afghanistan.

Really well put together and exposes the glaring mistakes that America made time and time again in Afghanistan.

The amount of money they spent is mind boggling.

Finally watched Class Action Park. Absolutely insane theme park, basically no rules and an owner who made up the rides as they were being installed, then chucking hundred dollar bills at teenagers to see if they were safe.....absolutely mental.

This was just one of the waterslides he had built lollol

Have you seen the film Munich? Good film about the payback, also if you can find it a book called Vengeance, about the same stuff, highly recommend

Really enjoyed that one. It was insane how they had the alcohol sales set up so that after a morning at the water park, most of the adults would cross over to the other side of the highway, get drunk, and then ride the go-karts and speedboats.

Not sure if you’d call it a documentary as such, but tonight on bbc2 was the first part of Fever Pitch : The Rise of The Premier League.

( It’s a good watch, so long as you don’t think of how we were instrumental in it and where we are now having won nothing for generations. )

Just absolute craziness, basically just a free for all to do what you wanted.

The line the guy said it was a place you could either come home and have had the best day ever or you could come home in a bodybag........you just didn't know which one it would be lol
