Dodged bullets in the summer

I wanted Kone in the summer, but do we want players at Everton 'whose commitment to the cause is non existent?' I think not.
I totally agree, it's hard to identify the mercenaries from the saints in football these days. We've had it done to us many times and it ain't nice. I know he was massive in keeping them up last season but is he any good really? Funes Mori seems to have everything Kone has...

I like the way Inter are knocking about 11/12th, and they got rid after 10 games or so. It just displays how weak we have been putting up with Martinez for so long, a club with ambition just get rid and move on, we took beards to sort ourselves out.
10 games is too short, but I share your sentiment. Martinez should have gone before Xmas last year. His cup runs masked the damage he was doing to the team.

mata would transform us bigtime, he would be the link between the DM's and rom. he would thrive at being the main man in our team.
Absolutely this. I don't think Ross will ever fill this role (I am not a Ross detractor btw - I still think he will be a cracking player for us just not in that role) so I hope, first of all, that our interest in Mata was genuine and that Koeman will be considering similar players in January or next summer.

I know that the Ox has become the new running gag in every transfer thread but I honestly think he would be perfect in the system Koeman seems to want to play, he's full of running and happy to have a pop at goal. Wenger doesn't seem to trust him and, although his injury record is a concern, I would be pleased to see him at GP.

Rooney can do one. Stretford wouldn't want him here anyway but I'd rather invest in some younger talent than sate the ego of an over the hill former player. (I figure you weren't serious anyway but some on here are).
I can't honestly see why koeman would want Rooney. The lad has been in decline the last 2 years, he is always banging on about the workrate of the players and the need for them to press the opposition. Rooney doesn't have the physical capability to fulfil this role. The only way I can see Rooney benefiting the club is in him 'developing the brand'. The club would be much more higher profile in the media with Rooney coming home. I'm imagining sponsership opportunities would be greatly enhanced (shirt sponsership, kit sales and possible naming rights to a stadium) if Rooney could elevate 'the brand'. However it's debatable whether he could 'elevate' the team with his displays.

Youve multi-quoted me without using the quotes about me wanting him if he brought his backroom team with him, which he didnt at Inter.

Give yourself a pat on the back

Agreed, the only possible benefit would be commercial not sporting. Even then the Rooney "brand" is also in decline and I'm not convinced there would even be a commercial benefit when you take his wages, signing on fee, image rights wrangling etc.. into consideration.

Sissoko

Witsel is a divvy but a real good player hope we can get a quality CM in Jan if possible Barry isn't lasting forever.

But the only way we were going to improve was to have a positive net spend? Didn't matter the personnel it's all about the numbers lad.

Not really fair to completely write off De Boer as a fake who would have destroyed us. Inter and the Italian league in general just didn't seem at all the right fit for him. He'll get another decent job off of name recognition alone, probably in Germany and the style there will probably suit him much better. There's absolutely no way of knowing how good or bad he could have been as Everton manager, least not yet.

Kone has clearly just downed tools for Sunderland and isn't arsed, he's waiting for his agent to possibly get him a move in January. Everyone saw last season how immense he can be when he's not sulking, he and Defoe practically kept them up on their own. I know he signed a new deal but we know all they're worth nowadays is just to ensure a club gets a decent fee for a player because it was made clear to them in the summer with the way he carried on that he didn't want to be with them long-term. Not interested in us going back for him though, a player with an attitude like him or Sissokho isn't someone we'd be willing to put up with for long as a fanbase knowing how quick to anger we can be.

I'll be honest you're firmly lodged on ignore, but when I found out FDB had gone I had to do it, you should thank your lucky stars that a shed load of threads are closed, thus meaning the multi quote couldn't be utilised and I'd of been stuck with screen shots and I couldn't be bothered, but it's a gold mine.

If the multi quote was available, then....

Youre an irrelevance to me. Like a RS fan last season.

I've been championing the Ox in every window for the last 3 seasons, his time is now.
