Does the club need 'rebranding'? Something based around the new location?

The rebrand (if there is one) is moving stadium.... there is no need for any meaningless or gimmicky soundbites.

We're the originals.... do things right, win games and the rest will look after itself.

'The originals' sounds more of a gimmicky soundbite than something acknowledging the reality of where we now are.

Well, as has been established, Liverpool is a branding tool of Liverpool FC. It's exclusively so and there's no point in arguing that isn't.

More specifically the club is now cheek by jowl with the Mersey and it's an opportunity to grab and reposition the club.

We might as well have gone to kirkby then if that's true.... leave Liverpool to LFC because apparently it's "been established that it's already exclusively theirs".

He'll try to feed this exact post back to you tomorrow. It's a criminally minded dystopian psychopathy you're trying to reason with.

It's easier taking the pish.

:)

I wonder how the return of the Blue Liver Bird would go down?

Maybe a small one stitched on near the bottom of the kit.

It would cause a stir in the press would allow to impress that we were the original club of the city and the original club to don the bird.

We've almost allowed that lot to rewrite history.

Bring back the Bird
This all day, been saying it for years.

We had the bird first, we won the league with the bird first, our first winners medal la had the bird it.

We don’t even have to use one facing the same way as the copyrighted RS scum version or the council's version, there are two Liverbirds on top of OUR liver building - we get the other one facing the other way - no copyright issues, job done.

Bring our liver bird back and add it to what we have.

A large part of our image is tied to L4. We need people to put that behind us and start life at L3 and that will likely include a rebrand whether Davek or anybody else for that matter likes it!

It's not leaving the city to Liverpool, it's leaving the name to them. That's because it's inseparable to them now. It's almost synonymous.

Moving to the banks of the royal blue Mersey was excitedly seized on throughout the stadium planning and build period. It's galvanised the support round it, so there is obviously something to get hold of and project out to the wider world.

There's something about being on the banks of that river that energises everyone. It'd be stupid not to play to that strength.

But you can talk up the project of Everton using the name of their rival in every promotional activity if you like.

It's synonymous with us too.... they don't own the city. Just like we don't own the district of Everton. I've no problem whatsoever with proclaiming association with the city of Liverpool..... I feel that historic branding is more than strong enough.....

Yeah something like the above.

The thing for me is that it's not a point scoring exercise,it us merely reclaiming our heritage something we've relinquished far to easy to the other lot.

Even our links to Anfield...your average football in fan won't know we won our first league title there,it's stuff we should sing fron the roof tops

The club is absolutely drenched in history.
Iv met some rs fans that never knew we played at Anfield before them. A huge portion of their so called fans over here are oblivious to anything other than their modern history at most. It's hilarious and mind-blowing in equal measure.
