Despite what you are making it out to be Dave, the Koala hasn’t fallen out of the gum tree mate.

We made some good summer signings.

What I am disappointed in was that we left our midfield short of a an 8 who can play in a 4-3-3 (Lanzini type) and the failure to find a CB to replace Zouma. Putting all the can-lids into that bottle has cooked us.

For the performances themselves, the squad we have shouldn’t be getting the yippyyaps against Villa, Palace, Burnley etc. That is down to Silva. Our midfield is non-existent, Bernard has been left on the bench (which hinders Digne’s form), and our skipper’s leg hasn’t been replaced. So fair dinkum – something in the game plan needs to bloody change or we’ll all be licking the blood from our wounds when the cactus properly pierces us.

Kean is as of right now hopeless. A lad who barley scored more than 10 goals in Italy. £30M that divvy Brands threw at that.
this signing alone , points out to me, that brands has no clue about the standards of the premier league and what is actually needed.

it might of been ok signing players willy nilly at PSV, when the club are perennial league winners or contenders and the league has ZERO depth to it. you can employ a 3 year strategy without fearing any real consequences. that is NOT the case herer at all, you need to build day by day not for 3 years time. as we are seeing the way our squad sits right at this moment , we are short all over the place with very very little quality at all to be seen anywhere. no gaols and aleaky defence, with a midfield with zero energy or defensive skills in it.. that's all down to BRANDS recruitment.

couple this with our clueless manager and we are in real big trouble. we are not unluckily in the relegation zone , this is where this team under this manager will reside all season.

im just hoping that we get a proper replacement in who can make the little bit of quality we do have work and get us out of this horrific postion
I agree lads, Silva is a big fat fraud.

Nope. Just trying to see - after 6 games and the available evidence - what forum members think of the situation.

If we can have running polls on the manager, why not the DoF? It seems only fair to judge both.

In what way was the DoF to blame for the six games?

It was never going to be a quick fix, he said that, we were in a right mess. He has shifted on a lot and brought in a lot. Unfortunately that strategy needs time for players to bed in and like we are seeing now, it gets worse before it gets better.

As he gets more windows under his belt, we will see his squad coming together and we will need to buy less each window.

It is what it is and how we were left by previous regimes.

He's bought the muck Silva now struggles with: bog standard pros and crocks.

He did not do the team selection or the tactics. Now exactly who is the muck you refer to? and are you sure it was him?

And does he not get any credit for the "muck" shipped out?

A dof should be bringing In players the manager wants.
Not bringing in players the dof wants then asking the manager to use them.

This is why it isn't working

My major moan with Brands is he didn’t by any winners/leaders
He bought players who are great when on top, but gutless when we have to fight in games

Marcel Brands:

“We always try to bring in the players that we both can agree on. It’s not a good thing to bring players in that the manager’s not behind. We always discuss every player that we want, or that we can bring in".
