Dogs

Rather have dogs than people, if I'm being honest.
Pure devotion. They sense when I am down. Their excitement when going for a walk. GSDs are my favourite. Brilliant with kids, highly intelligent, and will defend to the last.

Over the years I have so many examples of brilliant behaviour from GSDs. Can you imagine a GSD jumping with kids on a trampoline? :)

Trampoline? Sure it's not a 'Springer'?

Over the years I have taken in five rescued dogs. All of them lovely in their own way.

I have also had five GSDs - two still with me.

I couldn't imagine life without dogs
my last GSD was the best, he was ace, calm, confident, only showed aggression when needed, fab with other dogs and kids. He was brill. He died 18 months ago and we now have two Rottweilers, both rescue dogs, one is 7, one is 15 months and absolutely nuts. Great dogs though.

I had a gorgeous GSD but she hated a particular Jack Russell owned by a neighbour. I had the dogs out for a walk very early one morning. Went to a very large field to let them have good run. Coming out I was closing the gate before putting her back on her lead and guess what....

The neighbour's daughter had decided to go for a walk at 7.30 with their two dogs. My GSD was gone like a rocket before I could catch her and went straight for the JR

I will spare the details but the JR didn't survive despite costing me €1600 in vet bills. Thankfully my neighbours were reasonable and did not demand her being put down but I had to get her a new home.

She is now with a lovely family 20 miles away, including one autistic kid. They absolutely love her although she is still very defensive when meeting other dogs.

Perfect bloody storm

Gutted for you blue, little yappy dogs are the bane of our lives when we are out, ours are always on a lead except when absolutely safe as we know the damage two rotties could do. Loads of time little yappy dogs come racing up and nipping at our two.

The only time my daughter was bitten was by a bloody little Highland terrier. She was very young at the time. I have no time for yappy little farts of dogs.

Never had a Rottie but I believe they are great family dogs too.

Last pic what breed is this and age, looks very much like the pup we got, a cockapoo chocolate brown she's 10 weeks old and is non stop chewing or trying to.luckily she's never bored I have 5 daughters and a wife who are constantly keeping her occupied.
She's a Bernadoodle. A chunky girl. Beautiful nature but scared of her own shadow. She's not great with personal space though....she'll sniff any person, anywhere...can be a bit embarrassing with strangers! ???

Enjoy your pup. Cockapoos are class dogs! ?

Just watching Billy Connolly on Dave. Talked about how dogs greet you and kiss you as soon as you get home. Nothing else does that unless you pay for it ?

Repeat of the old lines about dogs always being obedient - sit down, give the paw etc, until a neighbouring bitch is in heat. "Come here" - " F off" :)
