I thought he was worth persisting with for another 18 months as I didn't think there was any value in selling him. But then the RS got nearly 20m for a player just as useless and I've changed my mind.
Even though that Solanke transfer is probably rigged, if we can get 12-15m for DcL surely we've got to be scrambling now to sell him?
Our youngsters, by and large, have turned out to be disappointing. Granted, it was very difficult circumstances for them all to come in given the turmoil we've endured over the past few seasons but sometimes a tough environment is the perfect setting for a young player as there is no expectation on them. These lads have not grasped their opportunities.
Lookman aside, I think Everton should look to move these lads on at the end of the season and hopefully we get better quality with the next batch, and who knows, maybe they will prosper at a different club where there isn't as much pressure?
