He's not good enough at the moment, hopefully a bit part role next season will see the best start to come out of him.

I thought he played within himself yesterday, perhaps unfair to a player like him to be more physical but I thought he could/should have put himself about a bit more - he pulled out of two 50/50s.

Not sure he could have put himself about much more than he did. Bear in mind he had absolutely nil support alongside him for the vast majority of the match. Made sure VVD and Matip knew they had a game and his link up play was excellent at times.

I genuinely thought he was great. A proper striker at the club will help lift the burden and expectations on a 21 year-old striker.

Really? He got the better of them once when he turned matip and crossed into Walcott other than that he didn't win a thing up against them, easiest game they'll have in a while

I do think DCL has a little bit of the Grahame Sharpe about him. Sharpe really came alive with the signing of Gray. DCL is doing the gig on his own which is not ideal. Ready to be shot down but does anyone see a potential for Bernard to do an Inchy Heath type gig playing up front? I know Siggy has scored an acceptable number of goals but he doesn't seem to really help the lone striker.

He's not good enough to lead the line, We know that but I think he's a decent bench/backup for now and could hopefully progress, We're hardly supplying him with clear cut chances that he's missing.

DCL only gets stick because we don't have two other first choice and more experienced first team strikers up to this level that we should have. He's doing fine for a kid learning and progressing, I do think he's improved. Its not his fault he's having to shoulder the burden of leading the line on his own. I think that's why he gets stick because he isn't the finished article but that's largely Steve Walsh/Koeman's fault. Tosun isn't good enough.

If he can chip in with 8-10 goals a season then worth keeping around for me as a backup, always good to have a different type of striker in the squad and I reckon he would be happy as a rotation/backup player here

Bernard or Lookman should be able to work well with him. Somehow RIcharlison with Walcott is not working, but Richarlison, Lookman, DCL must be a good way forward surely.
