No no, just so we are clear please - are you claiming DCL is better than Lukaku?
He was terrible yesterday and of course nobody has ever claimed hes a slotter, I also dont think a single person has even attempted to claim hes anywhere near the required level, yet, to be playing up top week in, week out for a club with our aspirations. You claimed he bottled a challenge, ive proven that 100% wasnt the case, im done here.

He doesn't put himself on the line in the area. He goes to pieces with the ball at his feet and that lame attempt yesterday to get onto a great cross because it was a 50-50 shows he hasn't got the appetite.

At present???? You're probably better than lukaku.
As far as 22 year old inexperienced strikers go I wouldn't swap DCL for anyone.... and in our team I would not put lukaku in it as the likes of Bernie, Richarlison and Gylfi will be as much use as tits on a bull.

He had a one on one and didn't trust his weaker foot and ended up giving the keeper an easy save. Funny.... he was in a similar position to DCL who was brave enough to go with his weaker foot.
But..... all that doesn't matter when you support Romelu F.C does it?
It wasnt a 50-50 tho Dave, good Strikers know where to be, he wasnt where he should have been, it was a positional error, nothing to do with him bottling it, as you claimed.

Personally...we buy a Firmino/Aguero type striker - flexible, interchangeable, fox in the box - as another option to DCL.
Firmly believe he's part of the overall plan Brands and Silva have rather than buying a DCL type who is a better finisher. He saves us £30-40mill in today's climate.

Dom's made decent progress this season, that's the main thing for him and us. It's the ones who aren't that we need to be making hard decisions on.

Hes defo proven hes worth a squad option for sure, be a great player to stick on when we are chasing a game and we need to stick on 5 strikers, yeah he wont score, but he will allow others to.
