See this is what i want to see from Everton, goals spread around, not having a 20 a season player can sometimes work to your advantage. Having a main man and trying to play everything through him dosent always work. Just look at the 87 title winning side, 10 times we scored 3 or more with all the goals being scored by different players, Tricky Trev was the leading scorer on 14 league goals, a season earlier Lineker got 30 but we didnt win the title. Also we had one hatrick that season, from Wayne Clarke. Having everyone scoring is so much harder to defend.

Obviously in an ideal world he's also 20 a season, but as long as the goals come does it matter who scores them? I think that front role in Silva's system is as much about bringing the others into the game. If DCL doesn't score many goals but he's flicking on the ball for Richarlison, Bernard or Gylfi to do so then he's worth his place.



I would sell Tosun and use the funds to get Rondon. Apparently available for 'just' 15m due to a clause in his contract. Rondon is proven at this level and DCL can interchange and learn from him. In a couple of years when Rondon's on the way out DCL either takes the role or moves on.

Doesn’t have to be a 20 a season player to be good enough but he is nowhere near clinical enough and in tight games we can’t afford that. Thing is I don’t think he ever will be and that’s why I don’t want to waste time with him. Some people obviously think he can or will and want to keep him
