That’s his main problem. He doesn’t make runs. Good players will spot a run and pick him out but he doesn’t move.

We really cannot start the season with Dom.

What concerns me is we will probably buy a striker, but we need at the very least, 2. If we are looking to this lad and Niasse to win us games from the bench, Silva and Brands need shooting. And no, that isn’t “bedwetting,” (cringe), it’s a fear of seeing this Championship/League One plodder leading the line for a club that claims they want top six.

Yeah am not sure he is ever going to be a good finisher. I watched a little video of him Rooney an klassen like a training drill you expect Rooney to finish well been that he was Rooney but even klassen was putting the ball away a lot better than Dom. I like him he has improved every year he deserved his place in the team last year. he does so many things so well I just don’t think he will or can ever be clinical in front of goal he could put the hours in on the training pitch with finishing drills an prove many of us wrong I hope he does like.

He has not got the natural instincts of a goalscorer.

....I was at Hull a few seasons ago when he missed an absolute sitter with his head, but when I watched the match back he had his eyes closed!!
