Typical of these players today: made a star on the basis of achieving nothing. Image over content.

The worst thing for me is that some point to the work rate he does upfront to defend him. Even the media pick up on it and say, 'he just needs to add finishing'. He's got by on that workrate aspect of his game for too long. He's about 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration.

All I ever get out of my lad (he's 19) is "have you seen the clobber Lewin is wearing" he then shows me a twitter pic Lewin has put up, and then reels off what labels Lewin is wearing, and how much it would have cost, and that's it with young footy players nowadays , it's all about what they're wearing, and how much they paid for their watches etc. The bellends wouldn't know a hard days work if it come up and bit them on the arse.

People get upset if you start having a go at their lifestyles. For me, a player should know that it's all about context what they post about themselves and how it will be taken. Automatically, they should realise that if you're bang average it's not on to maintain a high profile. If you're a top player then you can just about get away with the vulgarity of posting stuff about a privileged lifestyle. DCL deserves nothing like that latitude.

A piano carrier whenever we need a piano player.
There's no snide or nasty side to him and all top players and winners have that side to them .Am not saying go out there and chin players just let them players who are marking you know your not mr nice guy on the pitch

And yet, you feel entitled to have a go at all of them no matter what their lifestyle is! why? because maybe you buy a few tickets to watch them play or a shirt, or a mug, or a duvet cover or whatever... get over yourself, as long as they aren't using their position of wealth to abuse people then all's good... you don't own them though you might think you do... you were given the fact you are an Everton supporter...you seem to assume you have more rights than you do...know your place, it isn't as important to the club as you think!

It's not about owning players (the club's do that already through science - these players are like lab rats but they accept it because they're remunerated). It's about expecting some level of acknowledgement that the club are nowhere near where we should be and that players like him (not just him) are not producing and having some humility about it.

Frankly, I find it insulting that players are posting garbage about themselves and their gear. Do the business? They can say and do and wear WTF they want. No complaints.

Sadly it is the way with the modern footballer @davek. It will interesting to see if young talent from other nations such as Spain, Germany and Italy have as much social media postings as young English players.

10-15 should be his target if he’s first choice. But I doubt he’ll be first choice.
I hope he can reach that as I do any Everton striker, however I just don’t think DCL has the tools to be that man. His all round game has improved, but a strikers main job is to finish. I don’t think he has a natural instinct that a striker is born with.
