Loads of posts slating him in a game that he played perfectly fine in. The chance in the first few seconds shows he might not be top quality but he still has a chance of being a good premier league footballer. The league one shouts are embarrassing.

Ballsed up a simple 1v1, missed a tap in though the offside flag saved his blushes, Fell over when he attempted to go past players, never held it up, got dominated in the air by some of the softest Cbs in the league. I'm sorry but the lad is last.

Some absolute balderdash chat on here...

Truth is DCL will learn & develop from these games & become a better player...

Truth is we do need better strikers if we are to compete seriously in the premiership it stands out a mile...

Truth is we need to score goals when we are on top & we need to defend better for the whole game....

You've got to be his dad.

Reminds me of anichebe. Everyone hoping the goals will come and blaming it on playing out of position, not enough starts etc. Fact is he isn't good enough. He's 21 and has not shown that raw talent that gets you excited. He's older than rashfotd but nowhere near his standard. Can't think of many good players who weren't showing signs at that age.

Let him develop on loan been the same case for 2 season's but it's not happened.

He's not completely crap and useless, he shows signs of decent touches, links up well and is still learning and growing in to his body as seen by how much he's filled out the last 2 years but he has no natural goal scoring instinct and it's inexcusable to be in that position today with that much time and completely get a nose bleed from not having a clue what to do in that situation.

He's no different than Tammy Abraham currently, the difference is Abraham is getting exposure to a lower level each week and gradually learning without pressure, same thing happened with Kane, Alli and the list goes on over the years. We should be doing the same not expecting a 21 year old lad who cost 1.5 million to score goals and lead our attack, no other top 6 side would do that and if we aim to be a top 6 side we need the same mentality with young players, like City, Chelsea and unless the young player is an exceptional talent let them go and learn the game elsewhere.
