Tbf I see your point and part of me feels guilt for hating Bambi - ultimately its Silva and Brands job to stop playing him/replace him with better quality but both appear to have been conned by the lad into thinking he's a good enough option up top.

You could argue he is guilty of misleading them when really he should be honest to them and himself in that he isnt good enough at this level - imo he should do the right thing and request either a loan move away or even a full transfer to a lower ranked team and let us grow and strengthen in his absence.

I know Chelsea hand has been forced a little.. But he's there now and those loan spells where he learnt how to net have done him the world of good. Even a dodgy Season at Swansea hasn't fazed him.

We should have looked to do the same and bought him back when ready instead of having him as our main striker for the last couple years

Agree with this to be honest, theres no doubt that a season slotting at a lower level has helped him, and would probably do the same for DCL. If he didn't start scoring.. well then, we know he's not going to make it.

Your judging Abrahams over 4 games, he has done well & looks confident in front of goal....

DCL is playing ok but not scoring & needs the confidence of goals....

DCL has not had the benefit of going on loan to the championship to enhance his confidence in scoring goals.....

However goals would bring DCL in line with Abrahams & who knows where we go from there....


Believe in our players....

So they can believe in themselves....
 
All this confidence of getting goals thing with DCL doesn't wash with me.

That excuse is when players are getting chances but are missing the target / wasting chances- this clown doesnt shoot or make runs/ movement to give himself even a sniff of a chance on goal

Scoring is all about confidence...

Lukaku is twice the player when he scores....

So he manages to fool Silva and brands to believe he is a good enough player or us, while us fans manages to see that he isn't good enough? This might be the weirdest post I've seen on GOT, and that says quite a lot.
