Get on Dominic Van Nistelrooy there, making out he's some goalscoring guarantee

Arrogant divvy. He's scored 20% of his career goals in the last four games

Winning flick ons and stealing goals already drifting into the net is all well and good but we don't have people running in behind often enough for the flick ons to be valuable and the goals he should be scoring he's knocking wide or hitting the keeper with regularity. He's not good enough, but sadly he's the best we've got. 1 in 5 is nowhere near the level required.

....it’s on a succession of DoFs, but it also shows how difficult it is to find a top striker.
I'm not saying it's easy but Brands is paid an eye-watering salary and it has been plain to see we are gun shy since Lukaku left. I'm all for gambling on youth, as we have done with Kean - who may yet turn out to be great - but there are three positions where you cannot afford to take too many risks, imo. Centre forward, centre half and goalkeeper and we have gambled up front and in the centre of our defence and, currently, that gamble is costing us. Our forwards aren't scoring enough goals and Mina and Keane are strangers at the back. Brands has to take responsibility for that, it is literally his job to manage personnel. Silva has made some baffling decisions but I don't understand the immunity Brands has from criticism from sections of the fanbase.

...I don’t disagree, WM. Given what Brands has brought in, I was so encouraged by the signing of Kean. I think that’s what makes me so disappointed with what i’ve seen.
