2019/20 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

He only ever looks dangerous when the opposition are creaking, and Everton are throwing balls into the box to cause a bit of chaos. It's no good expecting him to compete against mobile centre-backs that aren't easily intimidated at the prospect of a physical batttle.

In a nutshell, his attempt at running with the ball about 3-5 mins before Leicesters equaliser is an accurate reflection of his talent. He travelled 30 yards with the ball, at no point looking comfortable, before the Leicester defender put him out of his misery an simply took the ball off him.

He's occasionally OK at taking the ball in and laying it off. He might win a few headers. But that's the description of a lower league footballer, not a premier league or championship striker.

Grim as it gets when your first choice centre forward only has this in his locker. It completely cripples our attack because the opposition defenders know they have one less fella to worry about.

Richarlison should be our centre forward for the foreseeable future with Kean playing alongside him in some games and coming on as an impact sub in others. I see Richarlison’s long term future as a striker, perhaps not with us though, unless we make some serious progress in the next 2 seasons.
In the limited time he has had on the pitch, Kean has looked a far better option than Calvert Lewington.

Right, be an opposition defender.

Everton turn up with two strikers. You wonder which two they'll play.

One is a Brazil international. Another was a top European prospect, Juventus striker.

The other is a 1 in 7 never-been-good English youth international and another is a geriatric-slow hair transplanted Turkey international.

Why on earth would we ever bother with the latter two?

DCL worked hard but he doesn't run at defenders of have enough hunger/arrogance. One point he won a log and practically had a one v one and instead of running at them he crossed it.

There was one moment where he was 1 on 1 with a defender and was completely clueless. He's utterly useless with the ball at his feet.

Calvert Lewin is our top scorer, Kean hasn't scored since he signed for us so...

We shouldn't be relying on either of them to be honest.

Papa. Kean has got no proper game time. How on earth can he score given odd run outs. Bambi has got plenty game time over last 3 years. Years I say. Not minutes. And he is getting worse if possible. Cannot compare. Impossible.
