In theory Ferguson should be hte ideal role model for DCL, if he isnt gonna grab 15-20 a season, do what Ferguson did, be a problem, win and battle for your headers, bring others into play.

Absolutely, Abraham shooting accuracy is worse than DCL's this season.

Its no surprise in two up top the lad has goals in him.

Cannot emphasise how difficult it is to be the only man up top, its a thankless task as highlighted in this very thread too boredom. He has received so much unfair criticism, even a seasoned professional striker often struggle being the one man. This man had stood firm and come up with two goals when we were flat on the floor.

I think that (myself included) we have been harsh on him.

ideally we should of loaned him out to a decent championship club but we didn’t as we had zero strikers at the time. Then we expected him to play with not much decent service and a team for the past four year that is up and down with team play and managers. He can’t become a Ferrari if we build him with Ford parts.

personaly next season I would like to see him loaned to a club that would give him a lot of game time, maybe at a club like a palace and have a bit of a break and learn new things. Either that or have a decent main striker next year and bring him in for the lesser games or as a sub.
