Has crap said it all. An average pl striker would have scored that. It’s from like 10 yards and he can’t even place a shot.

I just recall that he is really a crap finisher. We can’t reply dcl to lead the line. Sub or third striker, fine not a starter.

DCL has scored 1 goal in about 18 games lad, and we got bummed anyway

He’s crap. We deserve everything we get for making him our number 9 and having him lead the line for us every game.

Wouldn’t get anywhere near the first teams of those clubs we are trying to compete with and that’s one of the many differences.

DCL is woeful I’ve said it for years, I’d love it if we loaned him out abroad he somehow has the knack to get picked even though he does very little. He must be amazing in training, Richarlison, Tosun should be playing there.

Cow banjo come to mind when I hear his name mentioned.

Stick him in a locked room at Finch Farm, and have this on loop all week.

Worse goals:game ratio than the much-criticized Niasse.

DCL still get picked nearly every game, atm the striker should be Richarlison with a Tosun as back up.

He is also uselsss on the wing.

Dominated defences, centre backs laugh at him.

Don't want to get into the DCL vs Niasse debate - it's like deciding whether you want your wedding tackle traumatically removed with a machete or lumberjack's axe.

Surely everyone must accept by now that DCL (game trier as he is) has absolutely no goal scoring instinct at all. What struck me today was his exaggerated reputation for hold-up play. Frequently he gets the ball with only one defender on him, with a team mate on either side, each loosely tracked by a defender, with loads of space for DCL to pass into or where his mates might run. In those circumstances, you've just got to get off a pass within one or two touches because with every second more defenders than attackers will turn up and space will shrink. Instead, he takes 4,5 or 6 (admittedly neat) touches and then passes it backwards. In effect, he's the opposition's guarantee against counter attack and yet gets praise for good hold-up play.

Vexed (but nothing personal agin DCL).

Calamitous performance. Not good enough.

How he keeps getting picked to start puzzles me, 95% of the time he plays he’s poor.

If you have to teach a grown man because that what he is to head the ball between the the two white sticks at his level, then that guy ain’t going to make it.

If he was a defender it was an excellent clearance

Niasse does always look likely to get a goal, It seems like there’s more chance of Pickford scoring than DCL.

He's doing exactly what Danny Ings & Callum Wilson are doing - scoring in a purple patch with a previous patchy record.

Lets see how he does over these next few months before labelling him the answer to our prayers.

Happy for him and hope he keeps it up but i still think we still need a proven CF alongside him / Kean / Richarlison if we are to take that next step and get into Europe / try break the top 4.
