Rollocks! So what you're saying is he will progress at this rate and that by the time he's 33 he will be a fully-fledged Conference player.

Trying to watch Uncle Buck as I type, so apologies for any typos. I fully appreciate that there are various aspects to a front man's job, rather than just scoring now and again and imitating a statue the rest of the time. I also accept that if the striker does the statue thing, then regularly scores our goal in a 1-3 defeat, he isn't helping us win.

None of this is rocket science, nor does it excuse a striker from not scoring. A taxi driver has to maintain good customer relations, liaise effectively with control, and not mow down pedestrians. No matter how good he/she is at this, failure to regularly get people from A to B is undeniably failure.

Arguments that DCL's service has been terrible hitherto are debatable, but very thin in my opinion. Nor do I remember Lukaku being as idle and useless outside the area as many claim, but that's another debate.

I’ll be honest I haven’t the foggiest idea of who you are or any of your previous posts but you’re off to a good start this year.
 

You have to laugh, a couple of months ago there are plenty who would've sold him, now there's gossip on 50m Man Utd transfer and we'll be giving him a big wage increase to keep him. He has the right agent anyway. Football is so polar.
 
If there was any truth in Man Utd wanting DCL and he were to be interested in a move, you would then have to wonder why would he want to go there? When they have Oli and we have Ancelotti, in management terms they are like night and day. All paper talk though, now we have a big name manger sky and the media will be trying to weaken us by trying to sell and unsettle our best players, to weaken us.
