A little purple patch against weaker teams, tbh I haven’t seen much improvement all, he works hard enought but he’s done that for ages, he’s just pretty useless doing what a striker should do and score goals regular.
He's our top scorer no matter what he does people will move the goal posts and say he isn't doing x enough, He has time on his side to improve.
We should be encouraging that we have potential young player who can become very good, Every fan craves this type of story.

He has done well of late and should be given the rest of the season to keep delivering.

He can then be assessed, along with the rest of the squad, at the end of the season ahead of a full overhaul.

Come to the conclusion some time ago much of the negativity he gets is nothing to do with his football...

I think it's that he looks like it doesn't come naturally to him. Like the other week, he scored two goals but the second one looked like he was doing his best to miss (the one against the horse punchers where Richarlison squared it to him).

With that logic Lineker made a living of scoring goals he was trying to miss being the natural goal scorer he was...
The debate many of his supporters were trying to have was not about judging Dom in a formation that even the most seasoned and talented striker hates, and that was being up front on their own. It was the debate and no surprise to me, judging his football he would score goals in a 2 up front.

With the right midfield supplying him through the middle he could be dangerous but has not got that luxury with schneiderlin and Sigurdsson slowing down play! Hopefully can judge him end of next season under Ancelotti reign

I think some forum members will never rate him however many he scores, just rewatched the Newcastle highlights and I'm so glad he managed not to mess up the winner (he did appear to try his best though) Can just imagine the fume if it hadn't gone in.

the midfield is a major problem like

however he does miss some glorious chances, and except from recently finds himself in all the wrong places
The midfield is our biggest problem.glorious might be a slight overstatement,a few one on ones, but some of those you can put down to good keeping if you're prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.Taking into consideration his age and what he cost not a lot to moan about really.

nar mate some of them chances ( ie the villa and Liverpool ones ) they were straight at the keeper, if he puts them either side of the keeper he scores, as others have said, he always jumps to early

I agree he cost buttons but that doesn't really matter, he should be judged as a first team player the same as anyone else

I don't like him BUT I have said his form has been good so should be given the rest of the season to see if he can keep it up
