That goal doesn't happen 12 or even 6 months ago, it would've got stuck under his feet and by the time he was about to shoot he would've been smothered by defenders. Instead its 1 touch out of his feet and shot.

Confidence is a wonderful thing.

It's everything.

The big thing about Lukaku for example was that if he wasn't scoring he wasn't contributing. If anything he was a liability due to the number of times he lost the ball or allowed defenders to bring the ball out.

The thing with DCL... like Firminho is that if he doesn't score, you can bet your bottom dollar that the opposition centre halves will be having an ice bath that night and will have no problem falling asleep.

He's got a fair way to go yet but I'm confident like I was 18 months ago that he will improve. He will get stronger, he will learn the importance of composure and where to be in certain situations.

It's all good stuff.
