The classic they are suited to a certain formation excuse... There is no way you could justify playing him in a front two. He is far too limited and our midfield is nowhere near good enough.

Worst player in his position Ive ever seen for Everton. I don't want to hear about how her leads the line well, holds the ball up well, runs the channels, draws defenders away and such, he is a striker, a CF, employed to score goals, and he does not and CAN NOT do that.

Don't think I've seen a more injustly vilified Everton player in all my years of supporting them.

Mate I snigger a bit when I see this thread I stood on the terraces the GV was my idol - along came a young lad called Joe Royle - as an a young boy the backlash he got replacing the GV was horrendous {No internet forums then }
Just stick & abuse from older fans on the terraces -comparing them to the GV , and Joe was struggling in his early days, then when the goals came where I stood I let them have it all in good fun why because Joe was a different player to the GV just like DCL is a different payer to Lukaku, Joe went on to be a legend for the blues... lets hope DCL can keep it up

DCL is still a kid learning his trade and will continue to improve. He's had a good last 12 months, improving massively. I'm confident we have a 20+ goal scorer with him for years to come.

We bring disrespect to the number 9 shirt ourselves by giving it to the likes of Sandro and DCL.

He is a Championship striker or a can come off the bench for last 10-15 mins against bottom 10 team.

We'd be lucky if he can even score 8 goals this season.

A player who hasn’t found the back of the net for well over a 1000 minutes, with an average of 1 goal every 8 games played and we have fans who would change the teams formation in an attempt to get the best out of him.
