If he was in top six team with creative midfield players he would score double so what about the chances missed in recent games Arsenal Chelsea United and Norwich some of them not to difficult.In a tight game when chances are at a premium would you back him to score if he got half a chance cos I wouldn't .As someone stated before he wouldn't get a sniff in a top six side plus Wolves and Leicester at the end of the day for us to progress we need an upgrade not the only area I might add.

You cant keep blaming the midfield - our midfield has always been tosh since Arteta/Felli left yet Lukaku was banging them in.
A better midfield just gives these 2 more chances to miss look at the Brighton game when we were all over them but scored 1 goal.
It just feels a forced partnership to me - Tosun/Kean not good enough, DCL wasnt doing it up top on his own so we put together our only 2 players who can score and think a natural partnership will flow which for me isn't the case.
In an ideal world - Tosun is sold, Kean out on loan for a year and Carlo picks one of DCL or Richy to stay up top and we identify a CF with the attributes to partner the one up top with either Richy moved out wide or DCL on the bench.
Our midfield is very poor until rejuvenated move on....

He has got great potential,but then after watching Lukaku score three against United when he was on loan at WBA you see how far he has to go.

He's a young faster Troy Deeney - strong, big presence, good hold up play, works his socks off but will ultimately never be a prolific striker year in year out.
Very good squad player and the right attitude to do well for us but ultimately for me we need that next level forward to really push us on and challenge for the Champions League. The fact Chelsea could go sign Werner whilst already having a good young ST in Tammy Abraham shows the challenge ahead of us.
Arsenal will be in the same boat as us if they lose Aubameyang
They still have a creative midfield ......

The reality is the team as a whole is massively inconsistent and thats down to a lack of true quality.

You can see why we are currently around 9th-12th in the table largely most of our players are good enough for the top half and not much better.
Ultimately recruitment has to improve but that doesn't mean just because we sign a top Defender that it will make our midfield players better or signing a top CM mean our strikers will start taking their chances more regulary - the trap people fall into when talking about signing players.

Everton were no closer to doing anything with Lukaku in the team than they are with Calvert-Lewin.Hilarious how he's made out to be some top class player when he's literally our level at present ie 12th in the table.
He wouldn't get a sniff at the top 6 clubs never mind Wolves and Leicester.

World-class players don't hang around clubs like this or West Brom for five years, as 'our' Wayne wasted no time in showing us.

I wouldn't say that getting to last 16 of the Europa League once is really something to hang your hat on, no.
No creation no goals - Carlos is asking a group of players to play stylish football from the back upfield - most are not capable - in fact big Dunc played the game to our strengths long ball more direct using the channels......
You can't make a supply line for DCL or Rhico playing trying to make a cows ear out of a silk purse ........we are two class midfielders short imo in to becoming a good young team - we will struggle to make mid table if we carry on with a lack of creativity......
