no... he wouldnt get into their team... or... he would just miss double the chances .
exactly ... the “ he would score more in city or RS side” argument can be applied to literally any player not playing for those clubs. You could put Troy deeney or puki in the city side and you’d expect more goals from them. DCL cannot finish to save his life , he cannot kick a football cleanly which is massive requirement when you get paid to kick a ball for a living .

He scores goals though. THE single most important thing about a striker. Not bad for someone who cant shoot.

He is in double figures, no? Not bad in a team that creates as little as this current side. Also, his strength and athleticism give us a much needed ‘out ball’ when we are under pressure, we don’t have the guile in midfield to play out consistently.
At the moment he is a good premier league centre forward, but, he has the potential to become a very good one.
BTW Lukaku played for us in a team that was set up solely with the objective of playing to his strengths.

I would rather see the defenders handling the pressure themselves and the striker scoring some goals. DCL's main problem is that he can't 'place' the ball. One on one with the goalie and he's guaranteed to put it in the goalies arms, or wide, or over the bar.

It's a huge problem, 15 goals already when he should be on 30, terrible player, get rid.
he’s been very fortunate in his little run, couple of goals from a couple of yards out , a few mistakes from people like zouma , he scored two tackles ffs . He can’t shoot and I don’t mean that in a way thathe’s ok at it and need to improve. I mean it as ... he’s literally the last person that plays in an attacking position. That I would trust running through one on one to slot
Fortunate? Kid plays in front of one of the worst midfields in the entire world.
it was probably thought that the best manager in the world could coach him and improve that. Also I wouldn’t say he can’t tackle I would say he was error prone. Anyway... the same defender hasn’t improved and is now looking like he’s going to be moved on the same will happen with dcl . He won’t improve his shooting and it will eventually become apparent as he gets older that he will never Develop that particular skill and he will no longer be “ potential” and will end up as a mid to lower prem striker
