He did OK today but he’s defo been overhyped. Putting a shift in doesn’t get you top four. There were times he didn’t make the most of opportunities and doesn’t keep the ball as well as he could. He’s no doubt improved and he’s a decent striker probably in the James Beattie at Southampton mould. He still needs to get better for me to be a top top striker which is what we’ll need to eventually challenge.

Klopp got Liverpool to a cup final in his first season didnt he?

They have continuously improved but it only took him about 2 years to get them fighting for the top 4.

I dont get your point - its like you think a long term project means the manager is happy being crap the first few years - if anything its the opposite the aim is europe then a trophy then titles

The team he took over was garbage compared to what he has now though.

Its disingenuous to suggest he's only added 2 or 3 and took them to back to back CL finals and a record title win

Maybe you just struggle making your point I dunno - im just pointing out my opinions are based on Ancelotti's aims of challenging the top 4 - you dispute that because Ancelotti is in it for the long haul which you seem to believe that means he'll be happy with 8th next season.

I will say his hold up and link up seems to have improved, still can't strike a football though so he cant be our first choice if we want to catch those above.

He did well today. It was a backs to the wall performance In the second half with only scraps to feed off.
