[Carlo] On Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It's true that he hasn't scored [since return] but I think the most important part is the work he's doing. I never had strikers honestly with this kind of energy defensively. He will score again without problem.

I never ask my strikers in the past to score goals. I ask them to work well, work for the team and be humble. Dominic is doing all these things and I am happy with this. I have never known a striker with this kind of energy defensively so it doesn't matter that he hasn't scored.

It's not like we've been carving out loads of chances for him either. He's done well for me and when we get some better quality in the midfield we'll begin to see the best of him. I guarantee any team in the league wouldn't mind having him in their squad.

i can see him getting 2 more by seaaon end to land on 15 league goals.

Id be quite happy if he could hit 15 every season in the league.
I’m not so sure Zat! We have some stinker games left to play on the season end. I see him bagging one against Tottenham and that shocking defense they have.

Spurs are a weird one...we use to have loads of 0-0 games against them.

I think if we win 5 of the next 6 we will be in or around 6th place.

Win tomorrow and i think we'll be able to achieve 7th.

He's good enough to be a squad player and nothing more - hilarious seeing some whip themselves into a frenzy trying to pretend because he has 13 goals 1 season out of 3 at the club that it means he's suddenly prolific and on the verge of being a top striker

You know players tend to get better as they grow up yeah?

Also, if Carlo Ancelotti thinks he has two of the best young strikers out there, I'm inclined to trust his judgement.

The lads 23 - unless he is a late bloomer he's as good as he is going to get and for me its not good enough to be guaranteed a starting place up top every week if we are genuinely aiming for the top 6 next season.

City: Aguero, Jesus
RS: Mane, Salah, Firmino
Spurs: Kane, Son, Moura
Utd: Martial, Greenwood, Rashford
Chelsea: Werner, Abraham, Giroud
Arsenal: Aubameyang, Lacazette

Not even including Leicester and Wolves who have some decent options up top - we are miles off having that same threat Richarlison aside.

Think this is just man management, protecting him from criticism. Dom said the first thing Ancelotti told him was to get in the box more and be a striker.

This pretty much sums it up. For all his hard work and vaunted attributes (pace? I've yet to see him leave a defender in his wake) he's as good as he's going to get....and that isn't good enough.
