We've got 42 league goals which is pretty shocking but in what is his first full season as a starter Dom should be happy with his return. If Keane had got that many no-one would complain.

For most of the season we have had a midfield that considers a forward pass something that should be feared.

And our wing options are that bad that some have convinced themselves that Bolasie could be an option.

Im not saying we have Van Basten and Bebeto upfront, but it would be lovely if we had somebody to feed them.

I love Digne, he's great, but when your Left Back is your most creative player by a country mile, then you have to consider your attacking methods.

I love Digne, he's great, but when your Left Back is your most creative player by a country mile, then you have to consider your attacking methods.

Exactly. I could understand some of the criticism if he was just goalhanging or scratching his behind on the halfway line and missing chances left, right and centre but that isn't true. He runs his backside off chasing lost causes and gets ZERO service. I'm amazed he got 15!?

Its this simple for me.

Do I think DCL will ever be a really prolific player? Unlikely, I guess, I think he lacks the killer instinct that all great Strikers have.

Am I sure he wont? No, I didn't even think he would score more than 10, hes improved vastly over the last few years, its not unreasonable to suggest that with proper service he could reach 20 goals next season.

This season was a big test because he knows the importance of the number on his back, no doubt drilled into him by Duncan. Now he needs to continue working and if he has the support of this manager and a midfield that doesn't get nervous crossing the halfway line then he will score more next season and force the fans on side because he's making some look silly.

If I were him I'd be working on mid- and long-range shooting all day long. He's never going to be a brilliant dribbler, but if he could add some distance shooting to his armoury, he might have a chance of being a good all-round striker. At the moment he doesn't give defenders much to worry about other than occupying them with his physicality.

Ye.got a point, but bloody ell what service is he getting living off scraps carnt do anything when the rest of the team are always looking to turn backwards and pass back.him and Richardson must be thinking wtf.

Everyone was buzzing when we signed Sandro and he’d only scored 1 more league goal than Dom has this season.

Digne left mid for last 2 games with Baines in at LB, either that or wing backs and 3 at back
