Always had the potential. Thrust into the No9 at Everton when far to young (and all the crap around him). So pleased he has come out the other side with a Manager who deserves a lot of credit.

I think Dominic deserves the lion's share mate. He hasn't stopped going. He truly started showing goalscoring ability under Dunc who obviously also deserves massive credit.

Was only listening on radio so searched for it, nice one.

Love this the most, starting to see the good elements of Lukaku's game in DCL now. When Lukaku was slid through like that, left foot or right, you just knew he was gonna bury it. Very glad to see Dom doing the same as he basically has all the elements from his game Lukaku was missing all too often, bullying CBs and being a good outlet, good first touch, hard grafting, team player... if he can go onto being half as lethal as Lukaku is when facing goal then we have a hell of a player.

I wonder how a few users rep look after DCLs start to the season. Ive usually been fairly positive-ish about him and his development, but a post i made out of frustration after he missed an open goal a year ago earned me negative rep today. Cant imagine being one of the vocal haters atm.:drunk:

I very much doubted him even upto the point at the start of the season, I was worried we would create many chances and him missing them or not being in the right position.
Im loving how completely wrong I was if I could be arsed I would vault myself many times over on his thread.

Okay, cannot disagree and also agree about Dunc who I thought was the problem ( who has survived through so many managers - shows you what I know about football!!). Just enjoying watching Everton for the first time for a very long time.

You and me both, mate. 36 years old, I remember the car horns reverberating at the back of my ma's house near the M62 when Rideout did his thing and my dad was asleep in the couch, knocked out by my ma's homebrew lager. He saw Hickson/Latchford/Ball/Kendall etc though so he can't winge, even though he still tries.

Congrats to DCL.. and brilliant for Everton to have a striker back in the England set up... deserved the way he has performed this season
