Some of Calvert-Lewin's finishing lately has been eerily reminiscent of Jelavic's first six months, when I genuinely believed that I was watching the new van Nistelrooy (his April '12 PotM win must have been around the time of a goal against Newcastle that sent me into rapture).

Yeah, he's due another one now though, I think.

I know some people will think that's mad, but that's just the way football is now. He's one of the most important players at the club now, and that's gonna have to be reflected in his wage packet.

I always thought he was good and defended his abilities outside of scoring, but totally got why a striker that can't score was not everyone's utopian vision of a number 9, and whilst it was easy to see he was capable of scoring more than he had, never in a million years did I think he could become this prolific.
What a difference a quality manager can make, and quality players around you, I wonder who else could of been elevated to this level with the likes of James and Richalison around them?

Andy Johnson's pace feeding off James' through balls springs to mind. Or Lukaku and James, but DCL seems to have fitted the mould perfectly.

Yeah, that one touch finishing. DCL has said Carlo told him to work on it and he's been watching Inzaghi on YouTube. He should have been watching Jelavic!
