Unless the ball is put on a plate for him 5 yards out he offers nothing all match. Great start to the season but this was more like the DCL we are used to. Too easy to play against, he is only a threat from crosses or set plays.

Our set plays were atrocious today. along with everything else

He had a chance to get a shot away on his left foot and turned back instead and lost it.

He’s a player who needs service, doesn’t create nothing himself.

But he's the PL's top scorer so clearly that threat is very much something we should exploit.

we can’t just rely on set pieces and crosses for our striker to be effective. This is exactly why we needed a second striker as a different option.

I don't believe some on here, the lad had no support or service, on one occasion in the second half I counted seven Southampton
players between him and the player with the ball.
I dont know what you expect him to do , get the ball and waltz past half a team to score?
We had about 2 shots all game and next to no crosses into the box.
He had no chance today .

We had him in great form and refused to play to his strengths today. I blame the whole team for that. We didn't go long to him once and our crossing was piss poor.

Without Richy to distract them he had all the focus of the defenders and even our set pieces were awful let alone us being able to make a pass.
