That should have nothing to do with it. Carrying the ball is a skill all forwards should have.
Not really. Plenty of strikers, even the best ones like Lewandowski aren't known for being particularly good dribblers. What they are very good at is opening up space and bringing others into the game, being in the right place at the right time through intelligent movement to get on the end of balls into the box, or physically outmatching defenders and creating opportunities for themselves that way. Dom has all of that, and he's even started to become a bit of a playmaker too. Tonight he made some nice runs with the ball so it's not even as if he's a poor dribbler. Dom is rapidly evolving into the complete striker and as good as Richy is I'm taking Dom up front every single day of the week.

Great post that, spot on. He’s been vital against Chelsea (where he won the pen single handed and would’ve scored a header had Mina not took it off him), was excellent against Leicester (and was unlucky that a Schmical wonder save stopped his goal) and did a really good job against Arsenal (got a bit lucky, but caused the first goal, and nearly scored a worldie with his left)

So we just ignore the devolopment of the player as a variable?
IF 10 years down the line Dom maintains the level of goal-getting he's currently at you would use his stats during his development against him?
Look at it this way. From the PL you would swap Dom for nobody. Richie not so sure.

Over the past couple of years Kane has developed his skill as a playmaker but I don’t recall him showing the same hints of it as Dom is at that aspect at a equivalent age although tbh I don’t watch Spurs every week.

Anyhow DCL really is turning into a very well rounded striker which is wonderful to see, especially as he seems a very sound lad on/off pitch.

He's got that confidence LL that all top strikers have. He's got that look of "I belong here, they rely on me and I'm the main striker".

That's a very hard burden to carry and that's what he's come on in leaps and bounds.

I could vault myself a thousand times when he was under Silva and me saying he doesn't "want to get into positions to score goals".

Look at him now, he's absolutely vital and looking like a proper number 9, an Everton number 9. I like the way he's humble enough and honest enough to say he needs to work on more as well.

Fantastic attitude for such a young kid.

Maybe Kane if you didn't care about age. About it, really. Rashford isn't delivering the goods at the same level presently.

The existence of Salah means that you'd swap any other wide forward you could name in the Prem.
