What they are very good at is opening up space and bringing others into the game, being in the right place at the right time through intelligent movement to get on the end of balls into the box, or physically outmatching defenders and creating opportunities for themselves that way. Dom has all of that, and he's even started to become a bit of a playmaker too. Tonight he made some nice runs with the ball so it's not even as if he's a poor dribbler. Dom is rapidly evolving into the complete striker and as good as Richy is I'm taking Dom up front every single day of the week.

He's not as strong on the ball as Richarlison. He cant/wont do the constant tracking back Richarlison does either.

They are a great pair to have and compliment each other. The gap is narrowing between them all the time (it was a chasm), but Richarlison is still the more accomplished all round modern striker.

...and they'd be that way if DCL were paird with either of them too.

The point - which was lost in all this business - is that Richarlison coming inside would be no worse an option than playing DCL in that central position.

Maybe people got crossed wires over that.
 
Arguably first name on the team sheet at the moment. Mini goal drought, but he still contributes with his powerful hold up play and flick ons to Richarlison who runs beyond when we go long.

He played a peach of a pass to Richarlison in the 2nd half too which he couldn’t quite get the ball on the inside after he controlled it.

Just shook my head and muttered “pathetic” at the man when he said that. Sky are a joke having 3 Liverpool fans on for an Everton game and it’ll never change. At least Redknapp is sound.

Redknap shook his head. Because he was aware of the situation. He is a day Walker a kopite with self awareness. He realises there is 3 kopites on for a Everton game. And knows how extremely unprofessional and cringe it is if they start taking childish shots at us.

If they were 10th or something and had to laud their recent history over us you might get it, but they’re top of the league, will almost certainly win it again, and still can’t resist. Very sad.
 

Just on Dom's game yesterday. Workrate and goal are completely deserved of praise for him. Summarizing both he and Richarlison as being off I think is simplifying boths consistent excellence. Boths work rate have been responsible for plenty of finishes if they author them or not. In Dom's case drawing a pen or the Holding alter. He is responsible for the goal opportunity. On a more detailed note the slip shot right before the half was another sign of his growing comfort in him working the ball. Obviously his positioning is top drawer but that shot I see as the glimpses he's shown at initiating his own goals removed from placement. the drag to his left was nimble and far craftier than his reputation or strengths suggests. Guy is growing by the game.
 
Has anyone got a clip of that leap and flick on he did for Richarlison in the second half yesterday (when Iwobi nearly got on the end of it?)
