His progress this season has been great so far. There’s still loads more to come from him though.
This game basically showed the best and worst of his current abilities. Still needs lots of improvement in terms of attacking with the ball at his feet and getting his head up. That level of improvement is not beyond him though.
Not his best game , but put the ball in the net , he will only get better as time goes on.

He absolutely busted a gut to get there didn't he. That wasn't a crap finish, it was a very tired finish.
I don't think he's fit, he's looked proper gassed for 3 games imo. That's the most he's had the ball inages and a few times he wasn't expecting it.
But he gave their centre halves issues all game and scored the winner.

I think he’s clever though. He always speaks well and will work hard on his weaknesses. I hope he’s a genuinely nice guy as he comes across that way.

I think you're right. Looks to me that he's still working his way back to peak fitness. Seemed a second off making his runs, and generally laboured with the ball at his feet. Looked completely knackered after that sprint to get in on the one-on-one, too.
He's shown all season that his hold up play and all round game have stepped up a notch. He'll be back to that level after a few more games.
