More time off the bench quite possibly. Dom's progress might have contributed to Keane not getting a go though.

Ultimately I'm just glad we've ended up with a fab striker.
Doesn't often feel as though football's sliding doors moments have played out in Everton's favour, but the events that led to Silva's sacking and Ancelotti's appointment certainly do.

It was funny watching TAA legs going like the clappers and some smooth machine just easing past him to the ball. Just needs to add some pot shots to his game and he will be perfect.
Haha me and brother spoke about about this. TAA at full pelt while dcl is just having a quick jog then puts on the after burners, not bad considering he just come back from a hamstring and not fully fit.

Anyone remember that time someone squared up to him, and he just waved his hand infront of his face miming the other player’s breath stank? That’s just came to me, and I found it hilarious at the time. If anyone’s got that video, so share

He’s becoming such an important player for us. He always did the running, and was a handful, but now he is much more of a goal threat. It’s been great to watch him improve, and plaudits must be given to those who saw what he has become.

I sense with him there is more improvement to come as well. He’s a proper number nine, trained by Ferguson in the CF dark arts. His hold up play is probably the best we’ve had since Ferguson, possibly even since Campbell. He is so strong in the air but also really fast, as he showed on Saturday.

So pleased with him.

I’ve liked DCL since I first saw him, I think his general centre forward skills are excellent, tireless runner, leads the line well, brave, athletic, quick, but, I just didn’t think he would ever score enough goals to succeed at this level. The rest of his game always showed promise.
Luckily, I don’t call the shots at Finch Farm and the staff there saw goals in the lad that I couldn’t. I guess that’s why they work in football and we don’t.

He’s got a genuine fear factor about him when he comes off the bench. The Liverpool defenders were visibly bothered by him and his pace in that foot race against Alexander Arnold was electric. He carries himself like a top player now, he knows how good he is.

Big Dunc saved his career. No exaggeration.

DCL is fortunate Silva got shuffled on when he did.

There has nary been a MOTM poll I have not voted for him. Initially, a couple of years back, it was a wind up; "what plonker voted for DCL...he stank the gaff out" lol ...but as it's turned out, it was quite prescient of me
