Selective memeory there I think. Lukaku missed loads of chances but he is better 1 v 1 than DCL. We created a lot more chances under Martinez as well.
Literally kicked one over the bar from a yard away for Belgium a couple of days ago haha.

All I will say, he hasn't half scored an awful lot of open play goals over the last 18 months for a guy who cant finish.
So would you back him to then?
No then..Considering it isn't something you can even bet on I find it quite a pointless discussion.

It’s only looking at one aspect though. If we got a corner in the last minute of an FA Cup final which striker is more likely to score: Aguero, Vardy, Werner, Ings, Calvert Lewin?
We always hone in on the one thing he might not do so well but all I will say is that these other strikers can’t be scoring every one on one they’re getting when they have less open play goals than DCL and most are playing for better teams.
So would you back him to then?
It depends on the chance I suppose.
As long as it's not a penalty he will have as good a chance as anyone else.
Took a decent penalty for England tbf.It depends on the chance I suppose.

I'd be giving him some grief if I had him for last goalscorerIt depends on the chance I suppose.

Best hold up player in the country? Wow!Lukaku missing opportunities was the exception than the norm.
Sadly think its the other way around for DCL.
Best in country at heading and hold up but I wouldn't fancy him to finish any chances. Imagine him on end of James pass for Richarlison goal at Anfield.

Yes.His hold up play in around the middle third is superb. Heading too.
But I wouldn't back him to finish relatively straight forward chances on the ground.
Ask ourselves this. If we are to progress on the trajectory we need to, will he be the striker we want?
