Not that as such, that we've stopped. I just think that without James teams know we've really only got one route to regular chances and that's getting it wide and getting a cross in. Our right side is useless at that so they basically double up on Digne or stop Sigurdsson getting into crossing positions either.
It's why our midfield need to offer more - Gomes and, as we saw v Burnley, Davies, do have that ability, but they need to be getting up the pitch and delivering.

I would love it even more if we got to the last game of the season and he needs a brace to snatch the golden boot.I hope he gets another 6 league goals to take him to 20 in the league and 25 for the club overall
But it doesn't get a mention from any of the media or Sky/BBC pundits because it doesn't fit their narrative with him being an Everton player, so they've already written him off and declared Salad or Fernandes or whoever is at the top the table the golden boot winner.

Midfield do need to do more, but it is symptomatic of the general lack of offensive threat in this team. Sideways and backwards passing.

King isn’t a winger and it worries me that Carlo seemingly saw him as such.
he can play in the front three positions but really you want those players to be the ones constantly getting in the box.
for that to happen, we need a right-back who can match what digne offers going forward - should have been done at some point in the last two years but was left. Will be sorted this summer
To match what Digne does going forward means a significant investment. Probably £25m plus. That’s why it hasn’t been done I think. We had Sidebe on loan but rightly decided against that option. We hoped JJK would step up, at least as cover. It was a sensible decision at the time, but it hasn't worked out. The money was rightly spent on midfield and Godfrey. I accept you could argue that we could have bought a right back and not one of the midfielders. But that is the choice the club made.
A right back will be bought this summer, but we also need an understudy sooner rather than later.
