2020/21 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I said months ago he's developed a taste for scoring but its resulted in him becoming more selfish and not doing more of the donkey work.

Him and Richarlison both at fault today but atleast Richarlison was getting on the ball DCL was largely strolling around didnt see him bust a gut once.

Some wont like it but the system we play someone like Ings who is more clinical is the type of CF we need.

Neither Richarlison or DCL offer that.
I pointed out when we played Southampton last season I think it was at Goodison that Ings gave Calvert Lewin a lesson in how to be a center forward. His movement was better, his touch was better and his hold up play was better and hes only half the size of DCL.

What is so frustrating about him is he offers absolutely nothing when not scoring.

You all know my views on him and finishing. But imagine having James Rodriguez behind you and not being able to offer him any movements or link up.

Absolute average and not the guy to take us to the next level.

Imagine Rom tonight. He'd have had a hat trick.

Surely he has to have movement to be on the end of the two sitters he missed, no?

What???

Utterly bizarre. Lad has been colossal this season, not just in goals but his hold up play and distribution have been top drawer.

Proper terrible takes in here tonight. He had a bad game, it happens.

His hold up play is good but he has zero assists this season. Again, Kane, Son, Bamford etc etc etc all have assists.
