Yes but he’s not pressing from the front to disrupt the opposition int he way he used to, turning bad balls into good balls, winning possession and getting us up the pitch. Now it’s if we don’t give him a gilt edged chance he offers nothing and even then he’s been missing most of the last few.

Remember Chelsea and Arsenal end of 2020 he absolutely bullied their centre halves without scoring. Seems to just be hesitant to get about them anymore. Injuries? Confidence?

Annoying because I want him to succeed more than anyone, does need to work on his composure, Lukaku bags 2 there. Don’t wanna get on his back too much like some seem to take pleasure in because he’s been largely brilliant, but needs to get going again and he was shocking tonight.

What is so frustrating about him is he offers absolutely nothing when not scoring.

You all know my views on him and finishing. But imagine having James Rodriguez behind you and not being able to offer him any movements or link up.

Absolute average and not the guy to take us to the next level.

Imagine Rom tonight. He'd have had a hat trick.

We still haven't replaced Lukaku and those who think £1.5 million signing DCL has done that is deluded.

He does; starts ahead of Gabriel Jesus every time for me. Offers far more, scores more now too, Aguero injured/leaving. Indeed, if City aren't going for Haaland/Kane, DCL should be right there next in line on their list, he'd be a fantastic signing for them.
