They count. I just dont place enormous importance on them when measuring how good a striker is.

If 1 striker gets to score pens and one doesnt, it's an unfair comparison.

Overall though siggy has been a very unreliable pen taker for us ( unsure on his full record tbf )

If DCL was some amazing pen taker, he'd be taking them wouldn't he not?

Sigurdssons record on pens is very good.

As for DCL, hes never missed a pen. So hes also pretty good at them.

Carlo decides who takes them, he probably thinks Gylfi is slightly better. As hes one of the best set piece strikers going, I can see why he thinks that.

DCL has never taken a penalty for Everton outside of penalty shoot outs.

Lineker worked the ball, moved it past players and finished or finished a chance off a through ball. All those things DCL hasn't really shown he can do. He's been good this season and he's developed a lot, but running with the ball, beating defenders and finishing etc he just doesn't do.

He finishes chances from 8 - 10 yards or headers. The finishes that close in don't always require finesse.

We won nothing with him won a title without Lineker.....the season after....,

Its probably because last year he scored ten of his 13 goals in a 13 game streak and this season ten of his 14 in an 11 game streak.

So that's a total of 7 goals outside those streaks I.E 7 in 38 games.

Kane consistently does it year in year out

Just checked

He's scored 7 from 10 pens, if that's one of the best then nothing down for us ( he has missed 3 from 7 prior to this season as well btw which is shocking )

I politely disagree. I think his season is in danger of being underwhelming and if he carries on costing us then will be rightly moved on.

....that’s a descriptive I often use and stand by. I think that will always be the case with DCL.

I know you know your footy eggs and o respect that.... but you and I both know he never put a shift in tonight. He was going through the motions second half and you know he was, when you’ve played, as you have, you know when a player isn’t giving his all..... you know what I’m saying, he wasn’t interested at all tonight.
