Its probably because last year he scored ten of his 13 goals in a 13 game streak and this season ten of his 14 in an 11 game streak.

So that's a total of 7 goals outside those streaks I.E 7 in 38 games.

Kane consistently does it year in year out

But every striker is streaky. Like if you exclude all the games Ka e has scored in, he wont have many goals.

I'll be honest mate, I find people have this sort of logic with Calvert Lewin. I can never get NY head around it. He cost us today, less so than Richarlison but he still cost us. Hes had an excellent season though. Those 2 things can both be true.

This is infuriating with us, we're terrible at it. I watch other games and almost every other team in the league does it better. It's not just on Calvert Lewin to do it you need 2, 3, 4 at a time and we just don't have the pace or athleticism to do it.

I watched West Ham. And I don’t won’t moyes anywhere near our club. But they have players who run at the opposition. Lingard, Bowen, Antonio, benrhama. And a few others.

we have Richarlison amd iwobi, who’s just a poor player full stop. But after that nobody.


DCL doesn’t. James doesn’t , but we expect what he brings to the team. And then you have siggurdsson, Gomes and Davies. All slow and week and playing the ball back or square most of The time. Even our full backs. Coleman wasn’t Bad tonight, but he hast the Speed he use to, rarely commits defenders anymore.

Digne can run into space, but he also doesn’t have the pace to go past anyone.

It’s very frustrating watching the majority of this team being slow and pedestrian

I politely disagree. I think his season is in danger of being underwhelming and if he carries on costing us then will be rightly moved on.

Harry Kane is world class. The second best no.9 in the world for me. One of the top 10 footballers on the planet.

DCL has made huge progress and has had a great season but games like today and Burnley show the gulf between a good player and a great player. Kane walks off the field today as the match winner with 2 goals to his name. Dom snatched at two of the clearest cut 1 v 1s you'll get in this league.

Kane is also technically a far better player. He can run with the ball better than Dom and is also capable of the occasional pass that Messi or KDB would be pleased with.

Kane and DCL are on different levels and Dom needs to work hard to narrow the gap. That starts with becoming much more composed when up against a keeper 1 v1. Today was a major disappointment.

Theyve also been very lucky with injuries. Let's see how they cope without Rice and Antonio.

Kane has outscored DCL every season.

Hes better than DCL (currently) in every area that's important for a centre forward. He is a legit world class player.

And I'm not getting into an argument about penalties. They all count. A pen, a two yard tap in, a scuff, a deflection. They all count the same.

I have seen some rubbish in my time but for DCL to be favourably compared to Kane takes the biscuit.

I agree abs injuries have killed us. But they still have more players who run at the opposition and have more pace abs power

We are talking about this season though.

And the one count matters, mainly because if he was here, Sigurdsson would take and score all the pens, so it's an invalid comparison.

If people value penalty taking as an attribute fine, but I dont think it holds much worth when evaluating a striker, so for simplicity I keep it out. In fairness, when I made the initial statements I've always said that, so have always been consistent.

What we see the last year or 2, is Calvert Lewin and Kane are equally matched as goalscorers, but Kane takes a great penalty and is fortunate Spurs get given more than Everton and he gets to take them.
