What reason is that, given he has scored every pen he has taken (to my knowledge)?

I have put certain criteria as they are fundamental things we would need in a forward if Calvert Lewin should be on the bench. Who's the guy who is scoring 29 goals, outside of pens over the last 2 seasons?

If we cant answer that, we can see why the club keeps going with DCL.

I don't think it will be, no.

Everton are rarely proactive about replacing starters unless they're either struggling very badly or completely finished, so I think it's likely to be same again in terms of competition up front next season.

Isnt the problem that there are always bigger glaring holes that need fixing that dont allow us to be proactive?

Theres a world where we sell DCL. I dont think it's the world where hes rubbish as people say. But you sort of see that hes reaching the top of his value at Everton, and we take good money for him and start again. I dont think the club think like that though, and to be honest, a lot of the people calling for his head would probably be the same ones in 12 mo ths saying we need a 20 goal striker if we didnt sign an immediate replacement.

I remember similar with Lukaku, who becomes a better player by the month. I am a Lukaku fan as well, but he had games where he didnt do a lot. To be fair though, hed have probably got 2 or 3 today.

Because we are not in Europe so it's not a valid comparison.

I'm not holding any agenda mate, I'm just saying if Kane is so brilliant, and Calvert Lewin is so awful, why if we are comparing how many goals theyve both scored in comps they are able to play in, does DCL have similar or more goals outside of pens?

People might not like that but it's a valid question that should be answered.

Its not that they dont count, but if you want a serious comparison, it needs to be an apples and apples comparison.

I mean, we can count every game Kane plays, and only count 2 games DCL plays and Kane will have loads more goals. It wo t be a valid comparison though!

He doesn't match him in the competitions he's competing in with him tho.

Plus that's like saying how can he match him if he gets one chance a game v someone who gets two.

But he does match him. You even said he matches him. Their goals in the PL are almost neck and neck outside of pens.

Well it’s not nonsense, is it?

If someone played, for example 60 games in a season compared to someone playing 30, there’s a good chance that first player scores more goals.
