Thats before you get to ones a tad older. I like Dom, but no one in their right mind puts him over many we all recall.

Rom Rooney yakubu even Saha was a better footballer
Yeah I wasn't thinking we needed to go back to 30+ years agoSo DCL is our second best striker, ever?
Oh my.
I don't think any of those bettered DCL's goal total bar Rom. Maybe Yak?Rom Rooney yakubu even Saha was a better footballer
Yeah I wasn't thinking we needed to go back to 30+ years ago
I didn't think Dixie Dean was relevant to 2021"We have had far better strikers over the years".
So why not?
Yak 15 prem, 21 total.I don't think any of those bettered DCL's goal total bar Rom. Maybe Yak?

This is going to come off bad but not living memory for as many of our fans as some thinkNot sure what you are on about if I am honest.
DCL is a decent player/striker. He isnt a Harry Kane. But he is nowhere near the status or ability of some strikers in living memory.
I think that sums it up.
Apparently it is a tad controversial to say Bob Latchford isn't relevant to todayYak 15 prem, 21 total.
Dom is 14 prem, 19 total.
So 2 more goals and he's "better" than Yak.
That leaves Lukaku and then only a fool would go back to Pre-Premier League.
People get all hissy when you use the Premiership era.Apparently it is a tad controversial to say Bob Latchford isn't relevant to today
I don't even need to use 1992 as an arbitrary date. I don't think Tony Cottee is relevant to 2021 either.People get all hissy when you use the Premiership era.
"Did football begin in 1992?"
Yes, yes it did, this era anyway.
This is going to come off bad but not living memory for as many of our fans as some think
Aye, but that isn't living memory. The age profile of GOT is probably older than you think.
Also, Evertonians revere their players from the past, so even if they were not old enough to see them, they "know" them.
I never saw Alan Ball nor Alex Young play, but I know they were footballing gods.
2 more goals and hes beat him as well.I don't even need to use 1992 as an arbitrary date. I don't think Tony Cottee is relevant to 2021 either.
It's all about supply - The Latch had Dave Thomas- my hero Joe Royle had Johnny Morrissey plus both of those teams had great midfielders as Sharpy & Gray had plus Sheedy, & tricky Stephen etcApparently it is a tad controversial to say Bob Latchford isn't relevant to today
