Not sure what you are on about if I am honest.

DCL is a decent player/striker. He isnt a Harry Kane. But he is nowhere near the status or ability of some strikers in living memory.

The age profile of GOT is probably older than you think.

Also, Evertonians revere their players from the past, so even if they were not old enough to see them, they "know" them.

I never saw Alan Ball nor Alex Young play, but I know they were footballing gods.

Despite being an American who knows nothing I actually have a decent grasp of our history I think, but I just don't see why any of it means DCL isn't any good. Sure he's not getting on the side of Goodison for this season but he's been pretty damn good for me and belittling him serves no purpose.

It's all about supply - The Latch had Dave Thomas- my hero Joe Royle had Johnny Morrissey plus both of those teams had great midfielders as Sharpy & Gray had plus Sheedy, & tricky Stephen etc

No supply no Goals.......our midfield at present is dire ....... inconsistent etc slow etc etc....
