He is a goal poacher in the sense that all of his goals come from inside the box. I think though the term 'poacher' gets associated with those strikers who just lurk in the box and contribute little other than the last touch but DCL does a lot more than that I think. His link up and hold up play is decent and he is very pacey. It really is just ball carrying and any kind of shot technique from distance he lacks - not so sure either of those things matter too much though.

Wrong. The past is a guode and the present is ephemeral.

He needs to continually impress. That's what a professional does: in football he puts it in - and to a to a high quality - EVERY game.

With respect you can criticise his ability but to insinuate he isn't professional is poor.

He's a product of his own hard work and possibly one of the most professional players you will ever meet.

I will hold my hands up, it used to baffle me how he got games for us, he was so bad. Then he looked a player, but the goals just weren't coming.

Over the last season he has improved so much.

Not certain he will maintain his current form, but he's starting to look like a really good player.

Stop comparing him to others, and just let him continue to play his game. The lad shows great work ethics on the pitch and training ground. And is starting to show the hard work is paying off. Long it may continue.

The only thing for me to work on would be his distance shooting, needs to put his foot through it more and trust his technique. For me he has everything else, speed, power, decent first touch great in the air and very good with his head. Hes also banging in the goals quite regularly now, what's not to like, just a bit of tweaking.

He looked like a fish out of water sometimes, always ran which is why Silva was happy to isolate him. But over the past 12 months his hold up play as come on leaps and bounds and he now seem to be slotting

proper coaching and better team environment can do wonders.

The lad can do no more, link up play strong, pace and power and now adding goals. We should be happy to have him. Fundamentally the lad has a strong mentality to succeed and despite the critics he has come in for he has worked hard to push himself on. If he continues on this path then the sky is limit.

You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't have the strength of character to commit and reach the top then you simply won't and this lads attitude and professionalism can't be doubted.

Only complaints so far this season are nit picky that could come to be a problem in the future, but he's scoring like mad so far. Off to a flying start.
