I think the assists Column tells us everything
But of course it’s not his job assists.

The problem is in here you can’t criticise anyone. DCL has improved infront of goal. But his all round play is still mid table at best.

He’s good enough for us to be 8th at this moment he’s not good enough for us to be a top 4 team. Whenever you say he hasn’t had a great game, you get the same response

1) feeding off scraps
2) what about the other players

Who would get us top 4?

Even Lukaku, who in hindsight people are forgetting got pelters on here, never got us top 4.

Lukaku had a lot more to his game. Could dribble with the ball, go past players easily. And could score all types of goals.

I’m not saying we should sell, I just think watching him outside the box is so frustrating. As he offers nothing. And in my opinion and it’s just my opinion, in the modern game forwards have to have a lot more to their game.

Our front 2 players this season have probably under 25 goal contributions. One of the worst in the league I would guess.

22goals DCL 0 assists Richarlison assists? But I’d imagine he doesn’t have many. I read last night Richarlison has 7 assists in 3 years. Which is outrageous.


We need a huge improvement in that next season.

It’s actually sad how many goals he has with such a high conversion rate in a team so limited. The pressure really is on him to slot his one chance per game.

So in theory if we get better players around him, who can create more than just 1-2 chances for him in a whole game he will 20+ league goal scorer.

In theory, yes. The only reason he’s not top goal scorer is all the other players get far more chances per game to slot.

Nailed it right there. Yes he needs to improve in areas but he needs more service.

Is it a fair comparison? I'd argue DCL is better at hold up. Lukaku was known as having an invisible forcefield. But yes, Lukaku did run at players more. My view is, different players with different attributes. Doesn't make Dom a bad striker.

I don't know what iss going on with Richy. I've said I'm other threads that he is badly out of form at the moment. But I'd agree he doesn't make the right decisions in terms of playing in others a lot of the time. The question is one of if it will ever be something he learns to do - stop hogging the damn ball!

Assists, heh, I'd suggest their ain't many in the team / squad with a huge total. Fair to pin it all on DCL and Richy?

Come on, his touch was really poor when he would have been in twice. Out side the box he was really sloppy, poor passes decisions. You can’t just say feeding off scraps. He needs to do more

The chances completed rates for Everton are among the highest in the prem.
Give him more chances he will score more goals .

He is feeding off scraps and his partnership with Richy isn’t a particularly good one.
If you had to lose one of them, which one would it be?

Richy for me, DCL is still open to improvement.

Richy all day if one had to go , great player on his day , but there havnt been that often this year and you get the feeling if he had he would be wanting a move.
Add in he wants to play for Brazil in everything Olympics .
Sooner keep both but if one had to go Richy.

I liked Naismith, very clever football player, just wasn't blessed with pace but a good player nonetheless (and a great guy too)

To be fair Lukaku 16/17 was an utter joke in a lot of games in how good he was that season, we created the same as we do now in that season but he just never seemed to miss

The assists is harsh on Dom too, should have had 2 on Sunday but for King and Coleman

Yes I know he hasn’t had Great service at times. But the way people go on about the service, you’d think Salah, Kane, vardy get 4 or 5 brilliant chances every game.

I just think other parts of his game need to improve a lot. And I’m not sure they will
