Can't wait for him to have a great euro's and the inevitable press campaign to get him to move to a top club. Alternatively he will come on late in a game and miss one chance when the whole team has missed 36 beforehand. His face will be put on a turnip and he will be hounded for the rest of his career. Great times.

You're assuming DCL wants to go to Spurs.

That's a poison pill - replace Kane's output, most likely with Son on penalties, and get no credit. Fail to do so, and get blamed for the side going backwards.
You're assuming Spurs will sell Kane, how much would he cost to replace, I dont think it will happen this summer

And I dont think DCL is going anywhere anytime soon, Carlo has got a tune out of him, would love us to get another striker to push him next season when in Europe

I was answering the hypothetical of: Spurs sell Kane, Spurs come knocking, do we sell or not? Obviously Levy won't want to sell Kane, but reality is that if City offers to double Kane's wages, Levy won't match it. My reply is that it's a bad career move for DCL. If United wants DCL and is willing to pay, we have a problem.

As to your point, I suspect that DCL moving is just a matter of time if he maintains his current level of performance unless we start qualifying for Europe soon. I wouldn't expect a move this summer - I don't see United meeting our ask, I don't see Chelsea making something like a Pulisic + cash offer, and going anywhere else in the league is moving laterally with no guarantees of having the team set up around him. He doesn't really fit any of the continental leagues, either.

No Timo Werner is an erratic finisher. DCL is a decent, 1 in 4 or 5 chance finisher. Good enough for the bench of a top 4 side, or the team in most of the rest of the league.

...yep. His physicality gets him on the end of chances others don’t get on the end of so he’ll score goals others can’t. He’ll also miss chances others take because he isn’t a ‘controlled finisher’, either aerially or with his feet. Everything is geared to reaching the ball, he doesn’t then drop down a gear & have a picture of where he needs to put it.

it’s something he can/will improve on but it will be part of his game going forward. When he gets a chance I say ‘i hope he’ll score rather than expecting him to score’.

He’s a terrific young talent & I’m sure he’s on the radar of Europe’s top clubs.

Kane wants to leave, he’s given Spurs 7 years.

Ok so it may be drawn out over the summer. But I can’t see Kane at Spurs next season

And what would you prefer him to say in an interview? You do realise they’re coached don’t you ‍♀️

Maybe not tell the whole world he and his squad mates are ready and good enough for the champions League when they are sat mid table, have won one game in 12 at home and just been embarrassed at home by arguably one of the worst ever sides in premiership history.

Talk is cheap when you don't back it up on the pitch.

Why couldn't he just say, we are improving from last season but we need to fix our home form if we want to okay in Europe.

Stop playing POGs with Davies, get chocolate star fish and the hot dog flavoured water out of your disc man and concentrate on obeying my floppies Dom!

I’m sure that would go down well in the dressing room
