His passing is awful. Not because he doesn't want to pass (sometimes that will be it), he's just not very good at it.
But Richy looked fine and as good as I've ever seen him at the start of the season playing in a 4-3-3. In a proper three. Not playing deep left wing on top of the left-back, not playing in this weird split striker role. A proper three.
There's no reason, with the players we now have fit, that we can't see that again, because Davies, Doucoure and Allan should have more than enough legs to cover midfield.
Think you are right there, he probably is better in a three in one of the wide slots.

Oh he's definitely greedy, but at times I think he genuinely just can't pass as well. We have a few players like that (all of them lol)
DCL's passing has improved a lot. I just think he's far better as a lone striker with two players playing off him.
Heh, yeah, it has. He's not quite Harry Kane though (no jokes about Dom's finishing) in that he has not started dropping really deep and playing balls for runners like Son. I'd be really surprised if he ever did that tbf.
I keep saying I'd like to see how he works with an 'off the shoulder' striker in a two (a Cottee, Wright, Defoe type). Problem is I don't think they exist too much these days.
Ellis Simms may have done a job..... not at 65k per week like Josh King....... who has not been used.....
