I think I get you. I like Dom a lot, and I only criticise him because I firmly believe he can be a whole lot better than he showed. He shouldn't be happy with that sort of performance and to be fair to him, I reckon he will be hurting. He's one of the few who I like and I trust him to keep putting in the effort to get better.

I agree with all of this. However I do think both DCL and Richarlison have plenty of credit in the bank unlike some players. The frustration I have with Richarlison, is he has looked like he is sulking all season and it comes across as if he thinks he's a bit too good for the club, which I don't really agree with.

For Calvert Lewin, he is exceeding all expectations people had for him. I'm not sure he thinks that at all. It's obviously really frustrating when they both miss really clear opportunities though.

He's actualy doing his job this season. Wether people rate him as good enough is an opinion. But he's done his job to whatever ability you may think he is. Shame many around him havent.

Yes I've made my feelings known on DCL quite a bit, though there's no doubt he has missed chances Iand scored a lot too). However a fella with 16 league goals- none of them penalties is not the biggest problem in this team. Neither to be honest is Richarlison, but Richarlison seems to be making hismelf a problem with his attitude.

Strikes me that he could not care less, either he is working to get in the Brazil team for the Intl's or playing for a xfr.

I'd say pretty much the exact opposite about Richarlison to be honest, I think he maybe cares too much (not about the club necessarily, just about the game) he gets very easily frustrated and starts to make poor decisions, he loses his head a bit when things aren't going well. If he didn't care it would just be water off a duck's back. I always said that about Yakubu, one of things that made him a deadly finisher was that you got the impression he just couldn't really care less whether it went in or not, so he was ice cool. Richarlison seems to get desperate and tightens up instead of relaxing.

DCL has definitely had a massive drop off in the quality of his all round performances. The trade off for him scoring more goals seems to have been him just stopping doing all the things he used to excel at. He's given a lot of defenders a pretty easy ride this season, something I never thought i'd say about him. Whether that's his own decision or it's come from the manager I don't know, but I don't like it.

The thing that disappoints me is the lack of chemistry between him and Richarlison. If the player like a partnership they could be devastating but there is something not right between them and Carlo has to sort it or get rid of one of them because I don’t think the team can accommodate both players the way things are right now.

Doesn’t give defenders as hard a time does he? Few years ago he was a nightmare to play against from a physical point of view, never gave defenders a second. That said, he didn’t score as many and maybe he’s trying to conserve a bit more energy. Might just be hard to play at that tempo every game of the season with no rest, bound to be some drop off.

Misses too many chances. Scores that sitter and we go on and win that. Same with Palace. Can’t afford to do that if you want to go any higher than 8th in the table.

His conversion rate is one of the best in the league.
Our problem is getting him more chances and players to run past him or get close to him

Said that for a while now, but believe it or not, I thought they did try to pass to each other last night, just hardly came off.

We’ve scored 7 goals in our last 11 games and people keep saying the strikers are the least of our worries..

I get that we haven’t created a lot of chances, but they are meant to create chances for each other or themselves.. Dom can’t just expect one on his head from 2 yards out every week.

We desperately need a quality striker in the summer.

This is just an assumption based on how they play football, but none of them seem particularly football intelligent. Maybe I'm wrong, but the chemistry between them is disappointing.

Would be upset (but not surprised) if we go and spunk a load of our budget on one of our least required positions. There’s a good reason we’ve scored 7 in 11 and it’s not to do with our strikers.

The number of times yesterday a midfielder picked the ball up in our own half or around the halfway line and had 6 other players (three centre halfs, wing backs and other midfielder) beside or behind him...I lost count. Wouldn’t mind so much if some of them moved or made forward runs but they just stood there. Left the two forwards with no support, nobody creating space etc.

There’s barely a striker in the world who: plays in a team that create no chances, has no wingers, nobody making runs from midfield to take defenders away and is bagging 20+ goals a season. It’s not realistic to hoof balls up to two strikers with the rest of the team stationary on the half way line and expect the strikers to go on a solo and create out of nothing game after game.

Walcott, Iwobi, Bernard, Bolasie out this summer, some proper wingers and a right back will see a massive improvement in the team. Will give you that we need a back up option up front if we sell Kean, can’t rely on DCL to stay fit and play 90 minutes in every game next season.
