Could you honestly say you expect him to score when he gets a chance or that you hope he scores ... because there is a massive difference. Top goalscorers miss chances but you always expect them to score , with Dom it’s more hope

People keep saying that but it’s just not true, a couple of games ago ( can’t recall opposition at moment ) we created plenty and ended up drawing as he missed a hatful, I get that he also scored recently but his chance conversion rate since Xmas has been shocking

nobody is saying he doesnt have those days. Christ every striker in the history of football has them.
But whenever we've put crosses in for him this season he's done well.
This team needs genuine wide players who can feed a striker.
Calvert lewin is the least of this squads issues.

He was very guilty of trying to get into the game like he done under Silva.

He is best suited between the box not going searching for the ball. He was too isolated not helped by Richarlison who was a worse culprit.

DCL is one of the reasons for that btw. He doesn’t set up chances either. Or create anything for himself.

I think with proper creative players in the creative positions this becomes less of an issue.

He scored some goals but mostly he his an average footballer and one season with 15 league goals means nothing if you cant repeat that every season. He is more Jelavic than Kane.

Right decision how? He side footed the ball straight at the keeper from about 3 yards out, it was a horrific miss.

I honestly think that style of play is a thing of the past. Pretty sure Dom has scored more headers than anyone else in the league as it is. Other teams score and create way more than us because they don’t just cross balls into the box and hope for the best.
They have patterns of play, movement and pace on the counter attack and we have none.

Yeah i got no issue with that. As long as we go out and spend the money to completely rebuild the entire squad. But for the here and now, next season, get a nuisance striker who's good in the air some bleedin width and service.

Been a good season overall but still no way near the finished article. Still misses too many chances for my liking, has too many games where he doesn't affect things, at times his link-up play is poor.

Comes out of this campaign with plenty of credit but has to improve again next year otherwise I doubt we move upwards at all.

Something along the lines of that he's convinced the kids he's good now he's got to convince the dad's. For some reason loads took offence and fumed, I thought it was a tongue in cheek comment and being a 'dad' myself I thought it was actually quite funny.
